With the new season premiere of “Lost” about to happen in the US, the series’ executive producer Damon Lindelof has once more been talking about some of what the fans can expect from the last series of the cult mystery – without actually giving anything away, of course.
“My hope is, certainly by the time we do the finale, plenty of people will be thinking about it, and they will feel enormously gratified that they guessed it right,” Lindelof told scifiwire.com. “I think that there are people who have certainly figured out significant pieces of what we want to do in the final season, but they did not have enough information yet. We withheld key evidence, so if you’re trying to figure out who killed Professor Plum but we haven’t shown you that the candlestick is even a potential murder weapon yet, you can’t get it.” That being said, “Starting with the season premiere this year, the remaining clues necessary to figure out where we’re going to end the show are going to begin falling into place,” he reveals. “We’ve posited the questions. We just haven’t given you enough information to figure out what the answers might be.”
In the same interview, Lindelof also reiterates that actress Elizabeth Mitchell, who plays Juliet, will be back on the show this season, despite both the actress’ lead role on the “V” remake series, and the character’s seemingly fatal predicament on last season’s finale. “We can say that she is going to be on the show this season a couple of times,” he confirmed.
